Don't say their going to make it?

I woke up this morning and tried to get up but it seems that I must have slept at a funny angle or something last night and I had cramp in my leg. So trying to move was a very bad idea.....It hurt.

After managing to get up and hobble around trying to walk it off I headed out to work to find a quite hopeful sign. The road guys have started putting the markings back on the road where those roadworks have been. They tend to only do that at the very end of the roadworks so they might actually make their deadline.

Work was long today. Mainly as I had a lot of samples to sort out, which is not the most interesting job in the world. They've also brought in a new system to help tell when people are in or out of the office. It's really high tech..........
It's a wipe board where you have you name, and two columns " in" and " Out" and a little magnet that you move to indicate if your in or not.
Okay so it's not that high tech but it will still probably be more reliable then the computers :-)

Oh word of warning to you all. Be very careful of the links when your on youtube. I made the mistake of accidentally pressing the wrong link and ended up seeing the video of The snuggle song by the (cartoon) Schnuffel bunny. It's too cute.....can not...... take the cute.........
You have been warned.

Smooth is now married and is still in the US. Unfortuantely it seems nobody mentioned the importance of Tact. On Facebook he changed his status to " Smooth is in bed with his wife". Firstly there are just some things we don't need to know, secondly just how close is his computer to his bed and thirdly why did you even think we wanted to know that? Unless he was trying to show off he is married. Which is probably just as likely. Yes your married smooth, no need to rub it in. Of course us single guys are not bitter or annoyed at your rubbing it in. No if we were I'm sure we might make some comment about how your had to go half way round the world to find someone to marry you. But we would never mention that, he, he, he, he, he,.....

Of course Grumpy keeps making that joke at the moment that I should go to the US as well. It's not that funny anymore. But that's not stopping him. However last night he started to give his opinion on female YSA and which he thought I should 'go for'. At which point I found a reason to go to another room in the house as I didn't want to hear it. If my father is starting to attempt to give my directions my love life can probably be declared D.O.A. and I'm depressed enough right now with the weather and things. Plus the fact that I could probably write a very good sitcom based on my life right now. No idea who would play me though...

Mind you someone did leave me a comment on my facebook page saying " Hope things are fine on planet saxon". Hmm maybe things are looking up. Somebody thinks I have my own planet.

I'm in charge, mwhah, ha, ha, ha.

Welcome to planet saxon, Only the geeky and LDS need apply.

Okay, I had some caffine today and it appears to have gone to my head....

Later folks,

Tune in tomorrow, same geek channel, same geek station.

Ok, this is going to sound stupid, and I dont want to offend you or anything, but...... why DONT you go to America? - Not with the purpose of finding a wife or anything, but why not go and make some friends out there and see if there are any cute girls that might make good girlfriends?

I mean, at the very least it would be a fun holiday and they would all go crazy for your accent!

I know you may not want to marry an American girl right away, obviously you dont want to marry someone you just met, but it would be an "eye opener" maybe...?

Have you ever been to the US? its very nice!

Plus american girls ARE cute! there is no denying it!

...and I sooooooo wouldn't bother with the English females, they are obviously of a low quality! :@

That made me laugh when you started with that sentence Drat.

I have been to the USA, you've obivousily forgotten when I went in high school.

I did go a second time to a summer camp as a counciler but the less said about that the better.

I would love to go to the USA on Holiday but I don't have any money right now.

The American girls are cute, especially their accents.

but so are the UK girls as well :-)

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I'm guessing this is JC being as clear as ever.

That comment was not aimed at you SAXON! So do not worry dear freind.

I am sure you very appreciative of the different varieties of ladies. If that be that they are from your home country or far away lands!!

Equally, I am sure you would not make another feel inadequate because you are not a 'cute american'. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Oh yeah, I forgot about summer camp and stuff, but that was a long time ago. I guess you should save up and go for a holiday or something, after all you deserve it.

Maybe you could solve your book problem by selling a load of old books on ebay or something and using the money to fund the flight. I know you said you had LOADS of books, and i know its hard to part with them, but if you have some you will never read again you could always give it a try.

and JC, although some american girls are cute, some can also be annoying too! : - ) so you have to find the right ones.

I like people no matter where they come from because beauty can be found anywhere, but it seems like Saxons friends have a lot more luck in the USA!!!

Good luck!

You have annoyed me.

I feel like I should be a non annoying cute american girl now. But it will be hard as I am dreadful at doing American accents (or any for that matter). :(

IF you are going to make such a refence to cute american girls, you should at least consider the feelings of non american girls. You are suggesting only American girls are cute. That is mean (and cruel).

I'm not sure what you mean here

I would love to see them Drat, but the trouble is the vast majority of them are ones I got through work so I can't sell them. Unless I don't want a job anymore.

When Drat said
“although some american girls are cute, some can also be annoying too!” I’m sure he meant annoying in the sense that they act like they’ve just stepped out of the film clueless.

Secondly you have previously got annoyed that we feel that some of your posts have been mean. You stated that you wanted us to not assume the worse, not act negatively towards a post, ask you to elaborate further and not be quick to judge unless we know the facts or ask for further information. If you want people to do this to your comments you should do the same to other peoples comments and not launch straight into the attack.

I’m sure Drat was not suggesting that only American girls were cute. As the saying goes Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and every guy has a different definition of cute. English guys can find some American Girls cute when American guys wouldn’t, and American Guys would find some English girls cute when the English guys wouldn’t.

Personally I find all girls have or do something which is cute which is unique to that girl.

Perhaps more clearly what I was trying to say was, that I did not feel it appropriate for someone in Ad Dam's situation to comment on the beauty and lovliness of other females in such a specific and passion ridden way. I think it could be seen as insensitive to others feelings, especially when they are totally unable to compete with such credentials!!!

However, I did not assume the worse. Ad Dam and I have now had a detailed discussion on this subject...

Umm, he only called them cute.

However, I did not assume the worse. You used the terms mean and cruel to describe his comments. That doesn't tend to suggest that you thought the best either!

J C said...

Well i think the term 'cute' is very specific! And in Ad Dam's case...as always...it was very passion ridden!

Saxon said...

Okay well I think for most guys if you ask them for a word that describes a girl in a specific and passion ridden way cute would not be one of the words near the top of their list.

J C said...

What word would be SAXON?

Scully said...

I realize that I am a) joining the conversation late, b) not male, and c) not British, but I thought I could speak to J C's consternation with the word 'cute.' In my experiences with Boy World, the term 'cute' is applied to girls/women who range from Not Hideous to Attractive and who look like they would be fun to hang out with even if nothing romantic took hold. Hollywood examples: Katie Holmes (pre-Cruise days), Jennifer Garner, and Sandra Bullock. Those who range from Very Attractive to Extraordinarily Beautiful are referred to as "hot," "bangin,'" or "smokin'" or really any other adjective that could also be used to describe a Ferrari. These are women who reduce men to drooling piles of incoherence. Hollywood examples: Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johanssen, and Halle Berry. In my mind, I think 'cute' is far more complementary. Secondly, if I met two men whose levels of attractiveness and compatibility were the same, and their only difference being one was American and one British, I would be drawn to the British man, as being from a different country adds a level of mystery and unknowablitly, which is always intriguing at the beginning of a relationship. And it says more about my issues and obsessions than it does about the man who I'm hypothetically rejecting.

and in my experiance ive found that the british accent always does something for the american ladies.....
just a thought to throw into the pot there....

Saxon said...

I'm sure I don't have to list them JC. You can think of them yourself

Saxon said...

your comment was really fun Scully and thank you for listing those words. I probably would have got in trouble for listing them!

Saxon said...

sounds like your speaking from experience there Engineseer :-)
